Year in Review 2022
What a year 2022 has been, a rollercoaster of highs and lows throughout the world. I just finished watching an incredible World Cup game, and thankful to be here sharing my art and designs with friends, old and new on the interwebz and IRL.
I use this site as a playground to document my creative experiments and write about topics that I find interesting such as cc0, on-chain NFTs, and other innovative technologies that connect back to modern art. This post highlights some of my contributions and creations throughout 2022.
Wiki Contributions
Some of my Wiki contributions helped centralize assets and info enabling the community to expand upon brands naturally.
Design Contributions
I helped create assets across a dozen communities contributing to everything from social marketing, and discord development to giveaways. Also here’s a few links to fun with movie marketing Blade Runner, Tron, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Product Designs
Alongside my own artwork, I purposely invested in NFTs that enabled me to experiment with IP and cc0 by manufacturing products such as apparel, shoes, prints, and more to learn what consumers gravitated towards.
NFT Drops
Curious about the generative process, I created Mega City Chain, a derivative NFT. It contains pixel art for Hover Vehicles, Memories, Jet Packs, Light Bikes, Headsets, and Light Rails that are imagined to be parallel assets to your pixel pfp. 🖼️ Foundation
The foundation marketplace excited me the most in 2022 as a creative, and I've added two collections with a few more pieces to mint before the year closes. Click for a preview ⟶ Light of Consciousness | Tools. To help bring more exclusivity, I will be tying my digital assets to physical products and experiences in 2023. If you've been to or seen my IRL art shows, you have an insight into what's coming.
2023 Intentions
Having kids (3-yr and 1-yr), balancing a full-time job, and pursuing creative hobbies have taught me the importance of time and focus. My goal for 2023 is to reduce the signal-to-noise and hone in on the areas I love the most.
Professionally I will be pursuing a new job that feeds my passion for building.
I will mint the final pieces for LOC and TOOLS NFT collections and drop only a few 1/1 limited editions available only to holders of my projects.
I will tie my digital assets to physical products and IRL interactive art experiences to connect everything.
I will continue to collect and support artists and projects pushing IP and cc0 possibilities into the future.
If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate you and hope you’ve enjoyed my creative content.
More love, more wins, and more fun for all in 2023
Process to Product
I haven't purchased clothing from a store in over a year…
I've become bored of the same old brands lacking personality, which reignited my interest in making clothes for myself.
Putting my artwork and the NFT artwork I own onto apparel and shoes has sparked great conversations. The response has been immediate and inspiring enough for me to add a few items to this website. So what does the process to product look like?
PALETTE SHOES
The story of this product design…
Outside of my daily job in software design, I enjoy creative projects: light installations, painting, or anything I can craft by hand. Through the years of painting, I’ve noticed a recurring question. “Where can I get some shoes with paint on them?” It sounds odd initially, but there is a genuine interest in paint-splattered shoes and apparel, which is why I created the E1 PALETTE SHOES.
CREATIVE TEE
The story of this product design…
Humans are becoming device zombies, and Instagram has explicitly played a role in this content injection into our lives. I know, I know, that's a little extreme, but I do feel constant content consumption impacts our minds and our ability to think of new ideas. The word CREATIVE with the spray paint crossed out in Instagram colors represents how social media has killed the creative the symbolism of D1 CREATIVE T-SHIRT.
I've been having a blast making clothes for myself, experimenting with CC0 and IP rights, and exploring new mediums. Who knows what comes of these ideas, but for now, I'm enjoying not having to go to the store ;)

Horror Kit
Halloween is a fun night for the young and old. This year will be the first time I take my son trick-or-treating for Halloween. I dread thinking about costumes for myself each year.
I made the Horror Kit as an easy costume alternative. The Mask and Shoes should give me enough to talk about as I walk the little guy around to houses.
I've wanted to mash up a few of my favorite projects, and Halloween was the perfect opportunity. The designs are made up of Deadfellaz, Overlord, and Chain Runners assets. These are unique Web3 projects with strong IPs worth checking out if you haven't already.
C1 HORROR HIGH TOPS
C1 HORROR NECK GAITER
The Horror Kit shoes and neck gaiter are a limited edition release. For anyone interested in these products, I hope they spark some conversation and story around the exciting communities and world of Web3 that is slowly spreading. Check out more from Deadfellaz, Overlord, and Chain Runners.
New Website / Old Archived
Time flies. I launched my first website around 1996 while experimenting with the internet. 26 years later, a dozen website iterations, my passion for art, design, and code experimentation is stronger than ever. This site marks a new beginning for me, focusing on my artwork, IP, and brand-building.
This site will showcase my artwork in Physical and Digital formats delivered in product and experiential forms. One of the most complex parts of creating a new website is letting go of my old blog, which had years of inspiring content in the image below.
Thank you to those who follow, like, retweet, or show up to events for me. I appreciate you. As a creative type, those little interactions mean a lot and inspire me endlessly. Onwards and upwards, I hope you enjoy the art, design, and engineering creations I will post on this site.
